REAL HUDSON PROJECT / UPDATED OCTOBER 5, 2026
Hudson carpet cleaning: a documented before and after
This is the one local project in this journal that HD can identify by city from its current records: a bedroom carpet in a Hudson home, photographed before and after the same visit. The images are HD's own work. They show a real result, not a stock photo or a promise that every carpet will finish the same way.

BeforeAfterWhat was visible before cleaning
The before image shows darkened traffic-lane soil across the bedroom carpet. Those lanes form where repeated foot traffic pushes dry soil and residue deeper into the pile. A photograph cannot identify the fiber, the age of a spot or whether permanent wear is present, so HD still inspects the carpet in person before choosing chemistry or extraction settings.
What HD documented after the visit
The after image shows the same room and angle after hot water extraction, with the soil lifted and the pile groomed. The comparison is intentionally straightforward: no filter, no different room and no claim that color loss or fiber wear can always be reversed. Cleaning removes removable soil; it does not replace damaged fibers.
Why an inspection comes first
A useful carpet estimate starts with the number of rooms or stairs, approximate dimensions, fiber if known, access and the main concerns. Pet accidents, adhesive, paint, filtration lines and long-set stains may need different treatment. HD confirms the price before work starts and discusses any limitation that can be seen during inspection.
What to do before a Hudson appointment
Pick up small items, point out the spots that matter most and let the crew know about pets, parking or stairs. You do not need to move heavy furniture without checking first. After cleaning, protect the area from outdoor shoes and give it airflow while it dries.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you book
Is this a real HD job in Hudson?
Yes. HD identifies the bedroom carpet shown here as its own work in a Hudson home, photographed on the day of service.
Will every carpet have the same result?
No. Fiber, wear, age, previous products and the type of soil all affect the result. HD inspects first and sets realistic expectations before cleaning.
How long does carpet take to dry?
The site gives a typical range of four to eight hours. Airflow, humidity, pile density and how much treatment is needed can change that range.
