How long does carpet take to dry?
Four to eight hours in normal conditions. In a closed-up house in a New England winter it can run longer, so we leave air movers running and open the airflow path before we go.
Can you remove winter salt stains?
Yes. Road salt tracked in from December through March leaves a white crystalline residue and a stiff feel. It responds well to an acidic pre-treatment followed by extraction, and it is one of the most common calls we take in MetroWest.
Will the stains come back?
Wicking happens when a spill has soaked into the backing or pad and travels back up as the carpet dries. If a spot returns within a few days, call us and we will treat it again.
Do you move furniture?
We move light furniture such as chairs, side tables and small sofas. We do not move electronics, pianos, beds or anything with a risk of damage.
